Terms and Conditions

1.1 - REGISTRATION AGREEMENT - Parents and players acknowledge that participation in any Wokingham & Emmbrook Football Club activity is at thier own risk. The Club has Personal Accident insurance, taken out with the FA's appointed broker, which covers registered players.

1.2 - CODE OF CONDUCT – Fair play in Football Players commitment:

    As a player for Wokingham and Emmbrook FC, when playing football, I will:
  • Always do my best, even if we're losing or the other team is stronger
  • Play fairly - I won't cheat, complain or waste time
  • Never be rude to my team-mates, the other team, the referee, spectators or my coach/team manager
  • Do what the referee tells me • Shake hands with the other team and referee at the end of the game
  • Listen to my coach/team manager and respect what he/she says
  • Talk to someone I trust, for example my parents or the club welfare officer if I'm unhappy about anything at my club.

1.3 - CODE OF CONDUCT - Fair Play in Football Parents & Spectators We all have a responsibility to promote high standards of behaviour in the game. This club is supporting The FA's Respect programme to ensure football can be enjoyed by everyone in a safe and positive environment. Play your part and observe The FA's Respect Code of Conduct for spectators and parents/carers at all times.
As a parent or supporter of Wokingham and Emmbrook FC, I will:

  • Remain outside the field of play and behind the Designated Spectator Area (where provided)
  • Never engage in, or tolerate, offensive, insulting or abusive language or behaviour
  • Always respect the match officials' decisions • Applaud effort and good play as well as success In addition, when attending youth games I will:
  • Remember that children play for FUN
  • Let the coaches do their job and not confuse the players by telling them what to do
  • Encourage the players to respect the opposition and match officials
  • Never criticise a player for making a mistake -mistakes are part of learning

2.1 - DISCIPLINARY FINES - It is acknowledged that the responsibility for payment of any disciplinary fines incurred as a result of the named persons actions either from the Berks & Bucks FA or any other governing body or Association, will be the responsibility of the named person.

3.1 - KIT - Players. parents and coaches agree to take all reasonable care of any kit belonging to the Club, which is issued for the sole use of playing football for the Club and to reimburse the Club for the cost of replacing any lost or damaged kit (excluding fair wear and tear). On leaving the Club I agree to return all kit belonging to the Club to the Team Manager.

4.1 - SELECTION - Team selection rests solely with the team manager.

5.1 - PAYMENT OF MEMBERSHIP FEES - Payment of Membership Fees is taken via GoCardless. Please note that you must not cancel the GoCardless direct debit until the full membership fee has been received by the Club.
In the event that the direct debit is cancelled before the full membership has been received by the Club, the total outstanding balance at that time will become payable immediately.

5.2 - REFUND POLICY - If a player decides within 28 days of joining the Club that they no longer wish to continue membership then their Membership Fee (paid at that time) will be fully repaid. Thereafter Membership Fees are non-refundable, even in the event of a player transferring or no longer wishing to play for the club.

6.1 - SUPERVISION - Parents retain responsibility for the named player at all times and if the player is Under 11’s or younger will remain with him or her at all times or arrange for another responsible adult to do so.

7.1 - MEDICAL CONSENT - In the event that the named player is injured whilst participating in training / football / travelling to and from football events and the supervisory adult cannot be contacted on the contact number, confirmation has to be provided to give me consent for the player to receive medical attention.

8.1 - FA GUIDANCE - COVID-19 - Players and parents need to confirm that they have read and understood the Government and FA Covid-19 guidance as available on the club website www.wefc.club and support the associated measures the club will put in place to manage risks. If your child has any specific medical conditions, please ensure that you discuss these with the club welfare officer and/or coach and agree the best way to support your child’s needs e.g. you staying to watch nearby and taking responsibility to administer medication. If your child has had Covid-19, or symptoms for more than seven days, you must seek medical approval from your family doctor before they can restart any football activity. https://www.thefa.com/about-football-association/covid-19

9.1 - CONSENT TO PHOTOGRAPHY - As part of our commitment to ensuring the safety of all young people within our care, WEFC will not permit photographs, video or other images of young people, to be taken or used without the prior consent of the parents/carers and the young person. WEFC will follow the guidance of the F.A. for the use of images of children and young people (www.thefa.com) and will take all necessary steps to ensure that these images are used solely for the purposes for which they are intended i.e. the celebration and promotion of the activities of WEFC and it’s members.

10.1 - CONSENT TO USE OF PERSONAL DATA - Due to change in the law, that came into effect on the 25th May 2018, regarding data protection, we need to have consent to keep parents and players personal details. We will use this data to register the player with the Club, the FA, and the League Association for the team in which they play. In addition the Club will use this data to contact parents and players, keep members up to date with team news and information about the Club as a whole. We will contact by e-mail, text, telephone, but only by using the contact details that have provided to us to use. Consent is given to WEFC to hold the data provided through the registration process to use for the purposes outlined above.
