NG Physiotherapy
Its a great honor to be in Partnership with Wokingham and Emmbrook FC and I thoroughly enjoyed meeting the first team and backroom staff during their fantastic 2-0 win under flood lights on Friday night at Lowther Road. I will do my best to get out and meet more teams in the coming months. I hope my physiotherapy services, advice and education reaches all teams of all ages to prevent injury, or maximise rehabilitation in the event of an injury. As such I will be releasing blogs during the season on injury prevention, what to do pitch side and in the first hours after injury, and information on the most common football related injury. All players and staff will be entitled to an exclusive discount for Physiotherapy Assessment and Treatment at NG Physiotherapy, based out of Woosehill Medical Centre.
I would encourage you to look at www.ng-physiotherapy.co.uk, but here is a bit about me:
Neil qualified from the University of East London in 2005. He moved into the Private Sector in 2010 at Bupa Sports Injuries Clinic where he worked closely with Sports and Exercise Medicine Consultants treating patients from elite level through to capable amateur athletes.
Alongside NG Physiotherapy, Neil currently works as a Regional Clinical Lead for Nuffield Health, providing clinical leadership for 43 physiotherapists across 15 sites through education and clinical support with complex pathologies and presentations.
Neil has experience within sport previously working at Reading Football Club, Maidenhead Football Club and Henley Rugby Club and medical support at events such as the Great North Run.
Neil’s clinical interests are in Hip and Groin related pain and he feels exercises, done properly, are the best form of evidence based treatment. Neil has attended courses led by world leaders in the field of hip and groin pain and strength and conditioning. Neil has a strong focus on treating the root cause of symptoms, ensuring his clients gain a good understanding of their pain or injury, whilst providing evidence based treatment for immediate and lasting recovery.
Neil is also currently studying part-time for his Masters degree in Advanced Neuromusculoskeletal Physiotherapy at the University of Hertfordshire
I look forward to meeting as many of you as I can, and please remember I'm here to help if needed.
Best Wishes for a successful, and injury free, 2019-20 season!
